I became a therapist because I grew up in a culture where counseling was often frowned upon, and I witnessed many mental health challenges within my own family dynamics. Seeing my grandmother, who owned a group home for adults with cognitive challenges, further confirmed what I now know is my calling: to create safe, supportive spaces for healing.
In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and calming environment where your voice is valued and your pace is honored. My approach is person-centered and compassionate, down-to-earth, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you challenge unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and feel empowered to move forward.
Black, female, and a preferred preference to work with young adult population.
