I decided to become a therapist after working in a mental health clinic in downtown Phoenix as a case manager. My experience there really changed my perspective on my purpose and the greater impact I can have on other’s lives. In my sessions, I am very person-centered and allow my clients the time and space to open up about their experiences. I only want to work at the pace the client is comfortable with and work hard to make the therapeutic environment feel safe. I use modalities from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT. My clients report they feel supported, accepted, and motivated for changes in their lives.
