The Transitions Counseling and Consulting team is proud to serve as a clinical training ground for the next generation of mental health professionals. In addition to our structured internship and practicum programs for graduate students, we provide comprehensive supervision and advanced training for associate-level clinicians. We’ve also developed a custom curriculum focused on leadership and supervisory skills for independently licensed providers—creating meaningful mental health learning opportunities at every stage of professional growth.
Our goal is to provide a supportive, hands-on environment where learners can strengthen their clinical skills while working with a diverse range of clients. Every intern, practicum student, and early-career clinician are fully integrated into our multidisciplinary team, which includes licensed counselors, psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. This collaborative model fosters rich professional development through supervision, cross-discipline learning, and real-world experience.
We offer targeted opportunities to build foundational and advanced competencies across core areas of clinical practice, including:
Every member of our team—including students and interns—is invited to attend our monthly graduate-level continuing education courses. These CE events are free of charge, offer up to 18 hours of credit annually, and are led by expert clinicians presenting on timely, practical topics. As an NBCC-approved provider, we are committed to promoting mental health learning and professional development through high-quality continuing education.
We’re excited to announce that later in 2025, we will be expanding our continuing education offerings to include a CE library available to the community. This initiative will make our high-quality mental health learning content available to professionals outside our organization—offering flexible, affordable options for those seeking CE hours and new clinical skills.
We believe that excellent client care is only possible when clinicians feel supported. That’s why we maintain an open-door culture and a team-based approach that fosters immediate collaboration, learning, and connection. Our learners benefit from access to seasoned professionals, a collaborative clinical culture, and responsive support when complex situations arise.
We know the path to becoming a mental health professional is challenging—your physical environment shouldn’t be one of those challenges. That’s why our beautiful, thoughtfully designed offices are located across the state to reduce commute stress and improve accessibility for learners. No matter where you’re based, you’ll have access to a professional and welcoming space that supports your growth.
Many of our interns and early-career clinicians stay on to build their careers with us. We frequently hire from within and are proud to support internal advancement into associate roles, team lead positions, and clinical supervision opportunities. Our long-term investment in training and development ensures that mental health learning doesn’t end at licensure—it continues throughout your career.
