With over 15 years of experience in the helping profession, I’ve always been passionate about the social and emotional well being of others. I became a therapist after working as an educator for nearly a decade. I realized that I love helping people in a way that goes beyond the classroom setting. People genuinely need someone to talk to, and lean for support throughout this thing called life. I am dedicated towards helping others heal, and become the best versions of themselves.

I have a diverse background, cultural awareness, and cultural competency which allows me to provide authentic, genuine care to the clients I serve. I have an eclectic counseling approach, meaning I differentiate my treatment modalities based on each individual client’s needs. My counseling philosophy is centered around total acceptance, unconditional regard, and empathetic understanding. I believe in counselor-client collaboration to address and solve problems together.

I am a black, female, and ally for the LGBTQ community.
