I became a therapist after seeing lives changed for the better after clients received counseling. I worked with children and adults who were marginalized and underserved in our society. Once the adults and children received mental health services their lives changed for the better, which was rewarding to watch and rewarding to be a part of the healing process. In counseling sessions, I work to create a space where you feel safe to explore what’s on your mind, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. In therapy, I use CBT because connecting beliefs, thoughts, feelings and actions seem most effective; along with person-centered approach so that clients feel heard. Clients often say they feel better and less stressed after our sessions.
